We are looking for Flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who can provide 1:1 group support and communication support to learners across the college. A sympathetic approach to learners with physical, behavioural and/or learning disability is essential. You will have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills. Possession of a Level 3 Teaching and Supporting Learning qualification is desirable. Knowledge of ICT would be an advantage, and you will have an adaptable approach as some of the activities are based outside of the classroom. Experience with animals, floristry, construction, agriculture, horticulture or outdoor education is desirable but not essential.
Providing support, under the guidance of the teacher, to students in classrooms, workshops and other vocational settings and support students in the Learning Resource Centre to support teaching and learning.
Hours: Variable to cover with absences, holiday and any other cover that may be required. The hours will be dependent on the needs of the students.
Salary: £8.55 per hour, the annual leave entitlement of 25 days per annum pro rata will be paid to you at 14.49% of your hours worked and paid separately to you in August.
