Post Title: Equine Apprentice

Hours: 37 hours per week to work Monday-Sunday on a rota basis.
Salary: £6,349.20 per annum paid in monthly instalments. This is the National Apprenticeship rate for under 19-year olds or over 19-year olds in their first year of an Apprenticeship.
Job Purpose: To partly assist the Stable Manager and Assistant Yard Manager with the smooth running of the yard and partly to assist the Event Secretary with the running and organising of Equine events.
We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated person with strong interest in working with people as well as with horses.
You should be confident with the care and handling of horses and must also have the ability to supervise groups of students to ensure their Health and Safety as well as the welfare of the horses at all times. Good communication skills are essential as you will also work alongside fellow Equine staff in instructing a variety of student groups on good working practices.
Status: Fixed Term for 15 months or until the qualification has been achieved, whichever is the earlier
