Salary:  £18,416 per annum which is Point A24 on the Support Staff Salary Scale.

Status: Permanent

Job Purpose: To provide the frontline carpentry fixing, maintenance and repair of Estate buildings

Kingston Maurward’s 750 acre estate comprises a renowned land-based college, working farm & dairy, commercial equestrian centre & stables, Animal Park, formal gardens and thriving wedding and conference venue.

The impressive main house was originally built from red brick in the classic Palladium style that characterised the period in 1717. It is now a Grade 1 listed building.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our Maintenance Team.  The Maintenance Team is responsible for the management of the Estate’s property portfolio.  Working as a member of the multi-skilled maintenance team the role holder will assist with maintaining, repairing and improving the fabric, fixtures and services to all Estate properties. The role holder will be responsible for assisting other trades and contractors when required to ensure the highest levels of service.

The working week is typically 37 hours worked over 4 days to allow for flexibility in the role and for individuals to maximise their working week when not on duty and to attain a good work/life balance

The successful candidate will have City & Guilds 6706 Level 2 qualification or an equivalent recognised time served apprenticeship qualification. They will also be able to demonstrate the necessary relevant experience and expertise. We are looking for someone to be self-driven and who can work with minimal supervision but also work as part of a small team.
