The Farm
Kingston Maurward Farm provides a valuable teaching resource for our various land-based courses whilst also running as an efficient mixed farming operation, often providing financial returns to the College.
You could join our many agricultural students to use our 280 Hectare farm facilities below in order to learn modern farming methods.
- Arable unit covering 125 hectares, helping students understand and promote positive benefits to wildlife
- Large fleet of state-of-the-art agricultural machinery
- Purpose-built dairy with accommodation for young stock
- Pedigree herd of 100 Holstein Friesians, 600 lambs and 17 sows
- 85 hectares used for cropping and temporary pasture with a further 70 hectares of water meadows
- Farm buildings housing rearing facilities, handling areas and accommodation for sheep, calves and pigs
- Workshops to learn repair of machinery and cultivation equipment
- Purpose-built cattle demonstration and handling area for student training use
- Maurward Meats, our College retail outlet for all homebred and reared meats
- Strong links with The Arable Group and Game
