Animal Facilities

Work with the Animals!

Here at Kingston Maurward, we can offer you a fantastic range of animals to ensure you receive the knowledge and understanding you need for a future caring for them. With our dedicated Animal Care Unit and Aquatics Room, pedigree herd of 100 Holstein Friesians, 600 lambs and 17 sows and our popular Animal Park, our facilities are some of the best in the country.

Animal Care Unit

The Animal Care Unit provides a modern and exciting environment for learning. We offer a whole host of facilities, including:

  • Reptiles room containing a range of snakes, lizards, spiders and amphibians kept in a variety of enclosures
  • Aquatics room with a range of marine, tropical and coldwater fish, using different types of filter and support systems
  • Dog-grooming facilities to wash and groom dogs to a professional standard
  • Small mammal room with a range of rats, gerbils, chipmunks, chinchillas, degus, guinea pigs, rabbits and mice
  • Outdoor rabbit and ferret enclosures
  • New aviaries with budgerigars and love birds
  • Our very own resident Animal Care cats!
