Academy of Animal Care

Working with animals is a popular and satisfying career choice. There are numerous job opportunities from practical, hands-on roles to management positions, and the opportunity to care for anything from family pets through to endangered species.

You could rescue ill-treated animals, care for elephants and lions in a wildlife park, groom dogs in a salon, assist a vet in performing delicate operations or even run your own pet store. We offer a wide range of courses to suit all levels.

Animal Care facilities include:

Reptiles room containing a range of snakes, lizards, spiders and amphibians kept in a variety of enclosures
Aquatics room with a range of marine, tropical and coldwater fish, using different types of filter and support systems
Dog-grooming facilities to wash and groom dogs to a professional standard
Small mammal room with a range of rats, gerbils, chipmunks, chinchillas, degus, guinea pigs, rabbits and mice
Outdoor rabbit and ferret enclosures
New aviaries with budgerigars and love birds
Our very own resident Animal Care cats!
