Is it right for me?

Take a day to try dog grooming before enrolling on a longer course. Gain insight into the work and responsibility of the groomer. Learn how to cater for your dog’s requirements and how to groom out, bath and dry your own dog.

What will I be learning about?

This one day College Certificate course is suitable for anyone thinking of grooming as a career option or for those who would just like a sociable, interesting day.

  • Introduction to tools and equipment used in dog grooming
  • Bath, groom out and dry a dog

 

Where will it take me?

Assistant dog groomer. Progression onto Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants.

What's Required?

Entry to this course is open to anyone wishing to learn more about grooming their own dogs or those who would like an insight into grooming as a career. Age is immaterial but a reasonable level of good health is necessary.

How will I be assessed?

Continued observation throughout the day, culminating in a written short answer test.
