Centre for Foundation Studies

We offer Entry Level and Level 1 courses for students who may have mild to moderate learning difficulties or a disability. Students can develop their skills and experience in a wide range of subjects whilst being fully supported by our experienced staff.

Our dedicated centre at ‘Laurel Bank’, in the middle of the College estate, offers a safe and nurturing learning environment for students and a great meeting place after a day of activity on campus. The centre kitchen is also used to teach life skills such as food preparation, cooking and cleaning whilst the garden has been developed to support learning about growing plants and food.

We offer individually designed programmes and timetables to suit all abilities.

We pride ourselves on working closely with parents and carers to carefully monitor our students’ progress and ensure they move onto the next level of training or into employment when they are ready.
