Is it right for me?
Two-day course that will bring you up to the standard required to take NPTC modules A012. Covers subjects such as safety factors, machine servicing, fitting a new recoil starter cord and maximum blade speeds.
Please note: Assessment is carried out on a separate day by arrangement between the candidate and the appointed NPTC assessor.
Candidates must hold a CS31 and a Brushcutters/Strimmers Certificate of Competence as a pre-requisite for this course.
What will I be learning about?
- Safety factors
- Machine servicing
- Fitting a new recoil starter cord
- Sharpening a cutter knife
- Methods of operation of saws
- Adjusting a harness
- Maximum blade speeds
What is involved?
Two days training and one separate two hour assessment.
What's Required?
Minimum age is 16 years.
Completion of CS30 and CS31 and Brushcutters/Strimmers Certificate of Competence.
Tetanus protection is recommended.
