Is it right for me?
Get a certificate of competence in chainsaw operation from a MEWP. Areas include carrying out pre-use inspection and set up, setting up and chainsaw removal of horizontal and vertical limbs.
Please note: Assessment is carried out on a separate day by arrangement between the candidate and the appointed NPTC assessor.
What will I be learning about?
- Carry out pre−use inspection and set up prior to using a MEWP
- Set up a MEWP for work
- Achieve a safe working position
- Operate a chainsaw to remove lateral limbs
- Operate a chainsaw to remove vertical limbs
