Is it right for me?

For people working in forestry who have to deal with multiple wind-blown trees. Study areas include severing multiple wind-blown stems, use of winch to control root plates, felling broken, leaning and half-blown trees, chainsaw maintenance.

Please note: Assessment is on a separate day to be arranged between the candidate and the appointed NPTC assessor.

What's Required?

CS30 - Chainsaw maintenance

CS31 - Fell small trees

CS32 - Fell medium sized trees

CS34 - Clear individual windblown trees

 

Students must be aged 16 or over on 1st September of the year in which the course starts. Tetanus protection is recommended.
