Is it right for me?
This Level 2 award will identify key hygiene hazards in your own workplace. Learn to understand the importance of hygiene, food safety rules and working procedures, and how to report potential hygiene and food safety problems.
What will I be learning about?
In particular the programme aims to enable students to work in a safe, healthy and hygienic manner and contribute towards improving food hygiene standards within an organisation's policy.
The course syllabus is broad − it sets out the principles of food safety and hygiene. We also endeavour to tailor the syllabus to the background of the student groups.
This course has replaced CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene.

How will I be assessed?
Final assessment is by means of a 30 question multi−choice examination lasting one hour. The exam is available in 3 disciplines: Catering, Manufacturing, Retail.
