The qualification can be tailored to business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose.

To provide candidates with an understanding of health and safety that will help them contribute to any health and safety management system, this includes an understanding of the legal requirements placed on employers and their employees, hazards and risks in the workplace and the controls that are put in place to reduce harm.

This is the first in a series of 3 accredited qualifications aimed at different levels of employees in the workplace.

Unit Assessment Method :

Multiple Choice Examination

Overal Assessment Method :

This qualification is assessed by a 1 hour, 30 multiple choice question paper covering all sections of the syllabus. Candidates need a minimum 20 correct answers to achieve a pass certificate.

Papers are scan marked to a standardised mark scheme. Regular statistical analysis of question performance is completed and paper reviews conducted.
